Passover
The pâquerette is part of the Asteraceae family. Originally from Turkey and Europe, this perennial carpeting plant grows spontaneously in our regions. It is found mainly in meadows and lawns. The pâquerette has lanceolate leaves, slightly duvetous in bright green colour. Oboval or spatulate, these can measure up to 6 cm long. From February, solitary flowers 2 to 4 cm in diameter appeared at the tip of the stems. Composed of a yellow central disc and white ligules, the flowers show an appearance vaguely reminiscent of large daisies. They close naturally at night and during showers to systematically open the day and enjoy the sun.
